To quote Mark Twain - “If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning.”
Yep, eating frogs is basically a reminder for me to get my yucky jobs of the day out of the way early, so they actually get completed.
Eating frogs is all about prioritising and being productive.
My personal frogs take the form of edits.
I like to write.
I hate to edit.
But my procrastinating and not editing means my stuff doesn't get finished or polished, and that's a problem.
So, this summer I’ve been trying to eat my frogs every morning and actually edit every. single. day.
This means I haven’t had time to do other things, like blogging here.
Or cleaning the house - but that's another post.
So, if you see words here over the next few weeks, it means I’ve been eating my frogs every morning and have therefore given myself permission to blog and WRITE new pages.
It’s discipline, it’s productive, and it’s good.
Now, let’s see if I can continue to do it.
